Flex letters — L, A, R, S, X — describe how much a shaft bows and releases through the downswing relative to swing speed and tempo. What most golfers don't realize is that moving grams between ports changes total head mass, which changes how a given shaft actually loads, even if the flex label on the shaft itself never changes.

Runs heavier and holds tighter tolerances between individual shafts, which pairs well with a head that's already carrying extra mass in the rear ports.
