What's an interior weight port, exactly?
It's a threaded cavity built into a clubhead that holds a removable tungsten (or steel) slug. Moving that slug between ports, or swapping it for a heavier or lighter one, shifts the head's center of gravity without changing the loft, face angle, or shaft. Most modern drivers carry two to four; many irons and putters carry one.
Will this void my clubhead's warranty?
Adjusting factory-designed movable ports is exactly what the manufacturer built them for, so no. We do not drill, grind, or modify heads that weren't designed with movable ports in the first place — that's a different, riskier procedure we don't offer.
Do I need a multi-port head to book a session?
No. Single-port irons, wedges, and putters get a full weigh-in and torque check even without multiple positions to move between — a surprising number of them are simply mismatched from the factory.
How long does a session take?
A single driver or fairway wood mapping runs 60–75 minutes. A full iron set audit runs 75–100. A complete bag port audit across every club usually takes 2.5 to 3 hours.
Am I obligated to buy anything afterward?
No. Nothing here requires a purchase. You leave with a written port map regardless, and if you do order components later, the session fee comes off the invoice.
What should I bring?
Whichever club or clubs relate to your session, the shoes you actually wear on course, and a torque wrench if you happen to already own one sized for your head — not required, we keep a full set on hand either way.
I already like how my clubs feel — is there still a reason to come in?
Plenty of clients book purely to confirm their existing port arrangement matches what they think is in there. Screws back out, slugs get swapped by previous owners, and factory tolerances drift more often than people expect.
Once I order new components, how long until they're ready?
Most builds finish within a week since components and the torque bench are kept in-house rather than routed through an outside shop.
Do you work with left-handed players?
Yes, across every category on the menu. Port mapping and demo comparisons work identically regardless of which side you swing from.
What if the mapped setup feels off once I start playing it?
Any port re-weighting within 30 days of a session is on the house while your feel for the new arrangement settles in.
